Williams Grove

Williams Grove is a park that is off the beaten path if you saw it from the street you would not believe it was a amusement park. Williams Grove parking is free for guests. The park is closed most Mondays. One of the great ways to save money while visiting the park is to pack your family lunch or dinner. The park has family picnic areas where you can bring your own food and refreshments. This is the perfect place for family reunions or corporate events.

 

Williams Grove started in 1850 when the Williams family began having picnics on their farm. In 1887 became more like a fair ground. During 1918 the Williams family sold the property to Charles Markly who then sold it to the Rickwine family in 1924. In 1928 the park got its first mechanical rides. Because of the war the park was forced to close during the 1943 &44 seasons, but reopened after the war. Today Williams Grove amusement park has 22 rides

Williams Grove park is located just outside Harrisburg Pennsylvania. From the PA Turnpike, take route 15 south to route 74. Turn right onto route 74 for a mile or so and then right on to Williams Grove Road. The park will be on your left. The park is known for its great car shows and open market areas. If you are looking for a great family day bring the whole gang to Williams Grove. Weeknights are the best time to go if you have a budget.
